  • "A lovely house with everything you could need, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

It is ideal for a couple but would be cramped for four adults. The location is within easy reach of the centre of Elgin and the many attractions of Moray and further afield. The nicest property we have stayed in with Sykes. Highly Recommended!

Elgin is a lovely town which hosts a good selection of amenities, including many shops and eateries, along with attractions such as the old museum, Cathedral, gardens and the River Lossie to explore.

Those history buffs will enjoy visiting Cawdor and Brodie Castles, while the haunting battle at Culloden is unmissable.

Venture to Inverness for excellent shopping facilities, visit while a little further afield lies Loch Ness where you can enjoy some of Scotland’s finest scenery and picturesque walks.

Lossiemouth is also well worth a visit with its stunning golf course and golden expanses, it’s no wonder many call it the ‘jewel of the Moray Firth’.

ELGIN

Lossiemouth 5.6 miles, Inverness 40 miles

Once Scotland’s smallest city, the town of Elgin now boasts its own football team, and still holds its bustling atmosphere! It is the administrative capital of Morayshire and a place with many attractions in an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Close to the north east coast of Scotland with its selection of sandy beaches, golf courses and atmospheric fishing villages, Elgin has a lot to offer in terms of history and visitor attractions. Situated along the banks of the River Lossie the town has grown and flourished and has grand stone buildings and of course the famous cathedral which dates back to the 13th century. Other places of interest in the area include many distilleries, Elgin Museum and Baxters of Fochabers. For walkers, the Speyside Way footpath provides a wonderful network of paths with fantastic sea views and wildlife.
