Located by the River Helmsdale renowned for its prolific salmon fishing and an area popular with outdoor enthusiasts in general, this property is a great escape for those looking for a rural retreat where you are within walking distance of local facilities and attractions. With the NC500 route running through the village, it is easy enough to hop onto the road and go for day trips to Caithness and beyond. Enjoy a stroll around Helmsdale harbour, there are plentiful beaches nearby including Helmsdale, Golspie and Dornoch; and attractions including Timespan Museum, Dunrobin Castle, and the Badbea Highland Clearances Village, where you can find out about the poignant stories of the people who were forced to leave their homes and relocate to this dangerous cliffside. The entrance to the property is via the conservatory, which is a lovely space to relax in during those warm summer days. This leads into the dining area, where the wooden table comfortably seats six guests. The sleek and stylish kitchen contains a large island in the middle with breakfast bar seating for three, and contains an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher and filter coffee machine. The utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer along with access out to the garden. The lounge with TV is spacious and has been adorned with beautiful Scottish prints by a local artist. There is also a second smaller lounge/snug area at the opposite end of the house with SkyTV (basic package) which is great for kids and teenagers within the group who want to have their own space away from the adults. There is a bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC on the ground floor too, along with the first bedroom, a single. On the first floor, you will find a further three bedrooms. The two doubles and one twin bedroom are all generously sized and all contain TVs. There is also an additional shower room with WC, and bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC on this level. Outside, the garden is not enclosed, and the boundary wall is quite low, meaning that children and dogs should be supervised at all times. The garden itself is mainly laid to lawn, with a large driveway for up to four cars.
