We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in lovely home from home in which we were very comfortable.. Beautiful views and peaceful time in a great location ideal for exploring the surrounding area. October is a wonderful time to enjoy the stunning changes in colour of the country side.

Stayed here last week (14-21st August) the chalet itself was clean, fresh and had a very homely feel to it with views of the Loch from the living room area. The kitchen area was spacious with all the utensils one could ask for as well as a quality kettle and toaster, fridge and separate freezer. The oven and hob where decent enough but the hob had a glass lid (safety feature so you can't light the hob accidently) which you lift up to use both oven and hob is a bit tricky to get it right but once Ross (the proprietor) shown us what to do we had no problems with it.The main bathroom was roomy with a massive bath and overhead shower and a quality sink and taps etc.Nothing to complain about the bedrooms either bed was really comfy and plenty of storage for clothes and coats etc, the ensuite shower was awesome nice and powerful. The reason why I've given it a 4 rating and not the 5 is because the decking area outside could do with a coat of varnish but other than that no complaints whatsoever and we will return at some point.Ross the proprietor was a decent guy very welcoming any problems he was there to sort out. So to sum up beautiful chalet in a stunning area with awesome views

Lovely chalet but starting to wear out in places so some TLC needed.. The only drawback for us is the lack of WiFi. There was a working wood yard next door which we weren't expecting but this wasn't a major problem.

The chalet was well positioned just as we like it we live in a rural area so it suited us.. The chalet was big and clean with all the facilities of home the view was perfect the loch being just 2 minutes away it had a veranda to relax on a great base to sight see from.

Holiday was fantastic.. Accommodation was lovely the view was stunning. I normally have trouble sleeping in different beds but this was comfortable even for my 6ft husband, the single beds are on the small size not quite big enough for adults but they did sleep ok in them. Can't fault accommodation for cleanliness. Our only tiny thing wrong was there is not enough seating in the lounge only a 2 seater sofa and 1 chair not ideal for 4 adults, we did bring a garden chair in with cushions on it was ok. But nothing to spoil our holiday. Great location as well. Would definitely recommend and will try to get back again in the future.

A lovely, comfortable chalet, in a beautiful, peaceful, restful location.. Ideal for just getting away from it all, and the fact there is no mobile signal or wifi facilities, simply made it even more peaceful !! Just what we needed :-)

The cabin was in a scenic area; the master bedroom and bathroom were nice, and we were allowed to store our bikes in the proprietor’s shed. Overall, however, we do not recommend the accommodation. This is based primarily on the fact that it has been neglected with a number of items in need of repair or replacing. We had no welcome from the proprietors – the cabin was left open with the keys placed in a box. There were a dozen dead roses on the table in a vase. The main door of the cabin is broken – it appeared to have been hung too low. This meant that the cabin could only be locked from the outside, which was hugely inconvenient. There are 3 windows in the cabin with broken handles. Upon entering the cabin we were consistently met with a musty smell. The bottom of the kitchen units are all water stained around the sink area, so it appeared that the leaking pipes under the sink had been going on for some time. A pan was under the sink to catch the water. The kitchen area was unclean – the cutlery required washing as there was dried food on many of them. There were bits of leaves, food, and hair found in the drawers. Pieces of bread remained in the grill pan of the cooker and the toaster. The dishes in the kitchen were stained with food, and many were chipped. The kitchen’s crockery, and cooking pans and utensils are mismatched, appearing to be what you may find at a boot sale. As previously reported on an earlier review, the pans were scorched and limited. The toaster also was damaged. The fridge was dirty and required wiping down before use. The inside of the fridge door was also broken and so could not be used. The washing machine was stained with several large spots of black mould. The gas cooker was not fit for purpose and dangerous. Two of the four hobs did not work (we notice this was previously reported in an earlier review). The flame of the two hobs that did work (after lighting with a match!) could not be adjusted. The gas oven was useless. It took 9 hours for us to cook our roast meat! This is likely due to the fact that the flame could not be adjusted and most of the heat escaped out the oven door – there was a large gap in between the grill and the oven. We also found the wood stove in the living room left full of ash. Finally, parts of the cabin were dusty and there were several cob webs found. The cabin really needs to be repaired and cleaned properly before any future lettings. We certainly left the cabin in a much cleaner state than what we found it. In the meantime, this cabin should not be marketed as “luxury” as it falls well below this standard in its current state.
