This cottage is the perfect base for exploring Mallaig, Isle of Skye and the Small Isles. It was spotless, beds were really comfy, and it had all the equipment and utilities you’d have at home plus digital tv, DVD player, games and DVDs. Wood burner made for a super cosy relaxing evening when the weather got a bit wet. One morning there wasn’t hot water, but this was very quickly resolved by contacting the owner who just turned it back on remotely, they also provided plenty recommendations and helpful tips for enjoying the area and our stay. A short walk out the back garden and over a very low dune and you’re on the white sands of Morar - such a beautiful beach! We swam in the clear water and enjoyed collecting shells on this beautiful stretch of beach outside the back door! Super quiet and peaceful location - if you need to unwind and relax this is a perfect spot to do it away from hustle and bustle, but close to boat trips from Mallaig and Arisaig, and local walks and places to eat. The scenery is mind blowing in this part of Scotland, we enjoyed a day trip to Skye too. Fort William not far on the train.
Cottage would benefit (I think) from a bigger sofa but other than that it was great!
