Glowing Ember is something of an unexpected treat. The square outside is lovely, but even so, the flat itself is a surprise. There’s a sense of drama all around, much of which comes from the contrast between antiques and modern furniture, as well as the setting over two levels. The conservatory at the back stands out a bit, as the design is different, but while it’s a bit simpler, that’s exactly what you want in summer, when you can throw the doors open and lounge around in the sun.
Home truths: *There's a flight of stairs down to the front door, which is on the basement level.
*Construction is taking place at the home next door, expect substantial noise disturbances.
*You'll need to bring bathroom and kitchen basic essentials to get you started – this includes dishwashing tablets.
