This is why we've partnered with Sustonica, the first global certification for holiday lets,
to support our owners to be more sustainable.
The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,
waste reduction and promoting inclusiveness. They are on a mission to become the most widely
recognised sustainability standard for holiday rentals and a catalyst to reduce emissions of holiday
lets and influence guests to reduce their own household consumption too.
Properties that display the Sustonica badge have successfully passed the criteria,
which align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards,
and their owner has made a commitment to look after our planet as well as you.
Almost everything was provided for which made for a very pleasant and easy stay. The location was awesome, quiet and secluded, overlooking the Sound of Mull yet close enough to reach Salen and Tobermory easily. The Isle of Mull is beautiful and Iona is just ideallic. We'd love to return again some day.

The cottage was very well equipped, had everything we needed.
Location was just what we were looking for, central location for access to the island.
The view over the sound of mull was fantastic from the full length window, which the dog loved nearly as much as us.
The only disappointments being the WiFi was out which was rectified after a few days and the walk mentioned in the welcome pack up the hill behind the cottage was fenced off with a locked gate.
Lots of wildlife sightings from the cottage, white tailed eagle, hen harrier, sparrowhawk and a pine marten on a trail camera left out one night.
All my family had an awesome stay, thank you.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sunset Cottage, fabulous views, warm and comfortable, great central location for visiting other parts of the island."
We had a wee problem initially with the Wi-Fi, but Donald came and fixed it and also gave us lots of useful info about Mull.
The road up to the house is pretty rough and our mobile phone signal was weak, but that didn’t spoil our holiday.

"The internet is very poor - this should be explained in advance."
Items that we asked for we not provided and absence of mobile signal at the cottage meant it was not possible to make contact. The double bed is very firm and uncomfortable. Cleaning is patchy.
The Internet at the cottages is adequate for most day-to-day tasks, I am also trialling a network that is faster than the BT connection I have at present, and unfortunately not all areas are covered by superfast broadband, especially the more rural areas.
I explained on the phone before you arrived, where you could make and receive a phone signal from the cottage.
The Cot and High chair you requested was provided! I have no record of anything else been asked for.
The mattress is good quality, and it also has a two layer thick mattress topper which makes for a comfortable bed. Thank you for your comments.

"Sunset cottage is extremely well equipped, all the white goods are of a very high quality - and all worked well."
The view from the lounge is breath taking and to be there in warmer times must be great in order to make use of the garden furniture - unfortunately we visited in November! We may return in the spring of next year.

"The cottage is in an excellent location and is equipped well enough."
The only issue we had was that we found the bed uncomfortable.
The living room with the log fire is nice and cosy on the colder evenings. The views are very relaxing and when you get a sunset, its very picturesque.
I would recommend staying here.

The view is amazing and ever changing. The Cottage just suited us and had everything we needed for the two of us and our 2 pooches. It is well equipped and very clean. The enclosed garden was a godsend for the dogs too. Can not recommend this Cottage highly enough.

"The view from the front of the cottage is fantastic."

Everything we needed was there.
Bob didn't like the look of the big stainless steel chimney thing leading from the wood burning stove up through the ceiling. He thought it was a bit ugly. We didn't need to use the stove as the underfloor heating was highly efficient - too warm at times but we didn't alter the controls, just opened a door!
Plenty of storage in the bedrooms.
We hope to return to this property on our favourite island.
