The property is absolutely gorgeous, stunning views from every window, immaculately clean and well equipped.. We spent a week exploring the area - lots of hikes and bike rides (due to COVID-19 not many places open). Will definitely book here again! So peaceful and serene, the owner was lovely and so helpful. We can not fault this in any way whatsoever, absolutely made our holiday staying somewhere so beautiful

The flat was amazing, set in a beautiful stone house, this flat had everything you need for your holiday.. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend this property, to anyone who wanted to visit this part of Scotland. There is a loch a short walk away, a village shop, butchers and post office, in the village. From this location will easily got to Fort William, Oban, isle of Mull, Iona and loch ness. We had such a perfect week and would love to come back. The hosts were very friendly, and the bottle of bubbly, tea and coffee were very much appreciated after the long drive up. Once again thank you for making our holiday so perfect.

The accommodation certainly ticked all our boxes; well maintained; warm; it enjoys a very comfortable sitting area with a well equipped kitchen adjoining.. The bedrooms, a double and a twin were very comfortable and well presented, again equipped with more than sufficient storage for clothes and other bits and pieces needed for a walking holiday. The bottle of Prosecco, the pint of milk in the fridge and the "Tunnocks Teacakes" beside the kettle were a nice welcoming touch and much appreciated after a long drive up from Cairnryan. The cottage has the essentials to survive within a minutes walk, an excellent butchers; a well stocked general store (licensed) and a post office; all of which are owned and run by very friendly and helpful people, who are prepared to answer any questions you may have and offer recommendations for local eateries (when asked) - these recommendations certainly lived up to their descriptions. As for location the cottage is an excellent base for either travelling further north, or for walking. The owners of the cottage provided a list of local walks, which supplemented our own research on walks in the area, which was very thoughtful as well as being useful. No matter what the weather The Knowe Cottage at Taynuilt is an excellent holiday base location and one which we will return to again in the future

We all total loved the very clean and spacious flat.. It has everything you need within the building. The garden is big garden which the dogs loved especially the steam running along the bottom and there is also a bbq you can use. The owners was really nice and welcoming. They had also printed some local information which was brilliant thing to do as it was really helpful. We will deffenatly be back when we return to Scotland. Thankyou once again for a great place to stay

I don't want to go home from this wee flat in Taynuilt. Have absolutely loved my stay here. Fully equipped, comfy and cosy flat with a large pretty garden which has a bbq. Welcoming bottle of prosecco, tea/coffee biscuits and milk in fridge. There is an ample shop called Graeme's Grocers straight across rd. Lovely shopkeeper who will get you what you need if he doesn't already have it. There is a beautiful walk to the pier with gorgeous views. The train station is on your doorstep if you want to leave the car. We went 2 stops for a drink in the Ben Cruachan Inn at Loch Awe. Gorgeous scenery on journey. I would come back here again in a hearbeat. Thanks so much to the owners Iain and Shirli...the bottle of fizz was a lovely touch and went down a treat. Alison Jim and family.

Nice property in a lovely location, unfortunate that pub in village was closed.. There was absolutely nothing lacking in the flat equipment wise. Nice garden, unfortunately the weather did not allow us to make the most of it. Bottle of wine on arrival was very welcome, as was the tea coffee and milk.

The Knowe Upper was a perfect place for our holiday.. It has a lovely view of the mountains around the loch, and is in a friendly village with excellent small shops covering all the essentials. It’s an excellent base for exploring Oban, the west coast, the central highlands and Glencoe. There is a good selection of eating places in the area, including several which welcome dogs.

The apartment was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and, importantly in a March cold snap, warm! It has a lovely view of the mountains around the loch. Taynuilt is a friendly village with excellent small shops covering all the essentials, and a nice tea room which opens 4 days a week. It’s an excellent base for exploring Oban, the west coast, the central highlands and Glencoe. There is a good selection of eating places in the area, including several which welcome dogs. I have no hesitation in recommending The Knowe Upper.

The location of the property is excellent, particularly with us having a dog. Not only did she love the garden but there is a fabulous 20 minute walk down to Loch Etive. The property was extremely homely and we all felt immediately comfortable. It was also extremely handy having the owners next door!

The accommodation was ideal and represents excellent value for money. It's location is a nice little village where everyone we met was very friendly. It is ideally situated for access to places of interest in the region. Spotting a deer in the garden was a highlight.
