With lovely views of Praça da República, in the heart of Porto – there’s so much to do on this home’s doorstep. It’s just over a five-minute walk to Praça Carlos Alberto, while the stylish Rua de Santa Catarina, with its chic boutiques, is around a ten-minute saunter. Here you’ll also find the stunning Capela das Almas, clad in blue and white azulejo tiles depicting scenes from the lives of various saints. Other attractions nearby include Porto Cathedral, a twenty-minute stroll, and Mercado do Bolhão, a market in a neoclassical building, twelve minutes on foot. Take some local produce back to your apartment and cook some bacalhau à Gomes de Sá (cod casserole) in the modern kitchen for dinner, if you don’t fancy eating out (your host can provide breakfast too). Or simply sit with a glass of Port and watch the world go by around the square. This apartment is ideal for professionals on business or those looking for a well-located Porto bolthole.
