With views like that, it's no wonder this penthouse apartment caught our eye. Step onto the private roof terrace and you'll have a picture-perfect outlook over Porto Cathedral, Clérigos Tower and the beautiful houses climbing up the hillside. It's pretty spectacular, and there's no better spot to savour morning coffees and sip evening apéritifs as the day draws to a close. Even when the sun is at its hottest, you can still enjoy the scenery – just pull down the awning for some instant shade. Inside, the cool air conditioning and sleek design are a haven from the heat. There's a bit of Asian flair in the artwork, screen divider and antique furniture, while the bright bedroom has a cosy bed and its own access to the terrace. Whether you're enjoying a meal around the dining table or indulging in a Netflix movie night, you're sure to feel right at home here. And the location is spot-on, too. You're right in the heart of the historic district, close to an array of restaurants, cafes (including the iconic Majestic Café) and local boutiques selling handmade wares. Just a few steps away is S. Benton Station for when you want to venture further afield, but we don't blame you if you'd rather stay home and soak up those breathtaking views.

About Batalha

Directly south of Bolhão and its famous market, Batalha is an inner-city area that borders on the historic centres of Baixa and Ribeira. Like a lot of Porto’s centre, it was relatively run-down until around fifteen years ago, but has since undergone a cultural revival. There’s a wide range of nearby restaurants to try out, and some famous music and theatre venues. Some parts have a calmer, more residential vibe,...
