This studio apartment is situated in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the south side of the historic centre of Porto. You'll have an array of attractions to explore, such as the Port Wine Cellars, a two-minute walk away, while the iconic D. Luís I Bridge is five minutes on foot. Or go for a stroll along the Cais de Gaia, the pedestrian promenade on the River Douro. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and cafes within two minutes' walking distance from this home, too. Recently renovated, this apartment is housed in a historical building, which was once a traditional pharmacy. In fact, the pharmacy's name has been retained on the façade. Pour a glass of wine in the modern kitchen and take it onto the balcony – we love the beautiful views over the rooftops of Porto and the D. Luís I Bridge – it looks incredible lit up at night. As dusk falls, head back through the French doors and relax on the comfy sofa before heading out for the evening.

The river’s edge has a great view of the historic city buildings tucked into the hill. From its waterfront cafes and bars you can see the picturesque suburb of Ribeira while swerving the crowds.
