Lisbon’s bohemian Bairro Alto is awash with trendy wine bars, traditional cafés, and restaurants. Set over steep hills, this region is also fabulous for well-deserved views after days spent walking its cobbled streets. Or if you’d rather visit a less strenuous viewpoint, the striking Santa Justa Lift is an eleven-minute walk from this colourful apartment. Its blue facade creates a fresh, bright, and joyful feeling, even when you’re simply looking up at it from street level. As you ascend the stairs and head inside, you’ll notice how the blue exterior continues within. The entire floor is tiled in the same marvellous colour, with wooden and wicker furniture contrasting beautifully in soft browns and sandy tones. All in all, this creates a beach-like vibe in the living space, which is only accentuated by what you'll find through the sliding doors to the private terrace. We love this elegant outdoor space, where blue tiles continue to mirror the sea, and a stylish white parasol is yet another nod to coastal living. With comfy lounge seats and fresh white walls to keep the space private and enclosed, it’s the perfect place for sipping caipirinhas.
