Located on the border of Alfama and Baixa, this studio-style apartment is superbly located, with many of the city's best sights and most charming areas easily accessible by foot. The studio itself has wonderfully lofty proportions, is flooded with natural light, and has an exceptionally glamorous marble kitchen and bathroom. This home might be a touch short on space, but it's certainly not short on sophistication.

Not everyone will appreciate the very open-plan layout – except for the bathroom, it's essentially all one room
It doesn't feel super private – the apartment is located on the 1st floor and when the shutters are open, people at street level can see what's going on inside a fair amount of the apartment
The bed consists of two single beds pushed together – it's not a proper double mattress
