Now filled with artisanal wonder, the home sits nestled among wildflowers, olive and almond trees, and over 26 000 square feet of nature reserve. To honour the beauty of the natural surroundings, the garden has been landscaped by Lisbon-based Sigmetum so the wild seeds can grow to continually mirror the untamed beauty of Algarve.

But this home isn’t just beautiful – even though it is exceptionally so – it is no more than a twenty minute drive from some of the most breathtaking beaches, and even closer to world class golf courses. Spend the day in the sea or on the green and when you need a supply run, find stores and restaurants only five minutes away in Santa Barbara de Nexe.

Back home, we suggest barefoot explorations of every room so you can feel the cool concrete under your feet as you admire the textures and shades of the space. From the dining table, as you nurse a cup of coffee, you can watch the sun filter in through the window and cast geometric shadows across the room.

When the day starts to warm, access the pool via either of the steps and enjoy the bite of cool water against hot skin. To warm back up, you can head onto the rooftop terrace to soak up the Portuguese sun with a good vintage of wine.

Dine alfresco next to the tree, nap with the large windows thrown wide open, shower under the stars, read curled up next to the fireplace, and admire the beauty of the home and its surroundings, but most of all, let the space rejuvenate your soul as you unwind.
