With views of the coast and the countryside, this home’s hillside setting is pretty idyllic. It’s in a rural hilly area that’s ideal for walkers and those looking to enjoy their holiday in peace and quiet. You’re far from the tourist crowds here, so whether you’re enjoying a morning yoga session on the roof terrace or are perfecting your cannonballs, you won’t be disturbed. The villa is a twenty-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Faro, and the same distance from the white sand beaches of fishing villages Olhão and Fuseta. You’ll find excellent shopping in São Brás de Alportel, which is ten minutes away by car, and the villa is only one kilometre from the small village of Bordeira, where you can pick up supplies. There’s plenty to keep you occupied – but you might just find that you’re content to stay at the villa for as much of your holiday as possible. Light streams into the villa from countless tall windows, giving you the chance to drink in those marvellous views from almost every room. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll want to head straight outside to the terrace to sip your coffee and breathe in the warm, balmy air. Tuck into a breakfast of fresh bread and pastries before setting up by the pool. Spend the day dozing on a sun lounger, reading in the shade, and swimming in the private swimming pool – lazy days like this are good for the soul. When the evening rolls around, mix up cocktails to sip on the terrace while the sun is setting – what better way to end the day?
