On the peaceful island of Texel, this farmhouse puts you in the town of De Cocksdorp. Within a fifteen-minute walk, you’ve got a traditionally Dutch square where cafés spill out onto the pavements, and there are a couple of supermarkets to stock up on groceries. The beach is a six-minute drive away where wild, protected dunes slip away into the sea. A flat island, the best way to get around Texel is by bike, and there’s bicycle storage with this home. Housed in a charming, thatch-roofed farmhouse, you’ve got acres of garden to explore around you. Kids will enjoy the swing set and volleyball net, and grown-ups can indulge in long, lazy lunches on the private terrace. Inside, woodbeams running along the white walls and ceilings give a feeling of old farmhouse style. The living room is a sunny spot, courtesy of conservatory-style windows looking out over the lush garden. The kitchen is particularly spacious, with more than enough room to handle the bustle of family breakfast time.
