Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Right in the heart of Venice, yet slightly off the tourist path to San Marco Square, this ancient apartment has been completely restored. Every detail, from hand-carved antique dressers to Murano glass chandeliers, oozes classic Venetian charm inside. The old bones of this former nunnery are on display in the exposed wood beams and patches of stonework. Bedrooms feel opulent in dark tones with gilded golden accents and there’s sleek modernity just where you want it – in the bathrooms and kitchen. You may be in the centre of Venice here, but the entrance is on a quiet courtyard, so it feels like a little slice of peace in an otherwise bustling city. San Marco Square is a two-minute walk away and the iconic canal view from the Rialto Bridge is five minutes on foot. The streets around you are filled with tiny art galleries, gelato shops and myriad restaurants.

A lot of the luxury hotels are around here, so it’s not necessarily the place to find authentic, family-run restaurants or cafes. This area’s known for...
