You might find it hard to believe that parts of this home were once an ancient Roman watchtower. An Italian architect has transformed the historic space into a stunning modern villa, complete with an infinity pool, sleek living spaces, and striking glass extensions. It hardly matters that the bedrooms seem a little lacklustre in comparison – you'll be spending most of your time on the patio, soaking up the views of the surrounding olive trees and farmland all the way to the hills around Montefalco. The rural location offers complete privacy for larger groups, yet the historic town of Trevi is just a thirty-minute walk away.
Home truths: *This home is comprised of a main house that sleeps six, and an independent guest house that sleeps two. While this home can accommodate one additional guest on the single bed in the second bedroom, the maximum occupancy is eight guests.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. You'll need to drive down a narrow, gravel road to reach the entrance to this home, so it may not be suitable for large cars.
*There is no air conditioning on the ground floor of the main home. However, there is air conditioning in the main house bedrooms and the guest house.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and a high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*Please note that the swimming pool is not heated, and you may find it more pleasant between mid-May and the end of October. It's unfenced, so please supervise children at all times on the terrace.
