Open the doors to the Juliet balcony and watch the world pass by in the tree-lined Piazza D'Azeglio right outside – a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in hand, depending on the hour – or sink into the plush cream sofa and unwind after a long day in the sun.

Speaking of long days, the bars, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep are just begging to be discovered. Set off and find your new favourite – your host can even organise discounts at a few select eateries – then grab your beach gear and sprawl out on the sand under the shade of a rented cabana, watching as the waves crash on the shore.
