Tucked away in the midst of Sienese countryside, close to the city of Pienza, this lovely home is the ideal Italian base for those looking to escape the crowds. It’s a restful, rustic home set in a hectare of lush gardens. We love the sweeping countryside views and the salt-water infinity pool, as well as the shaded terraces. You can even pick your own vegetables from the small garden, ideal for alfresco dinners. Inside, the decor is traditional, with wooden beams and terracotta tiles – it won’t be to everyone’s taste but it’s truly in keeping with the area.
