Le Fagiode Pastina, Tuscany

We stayed Le Fagiode for a week. We were very kindly welcomed by the owners. The house has a beautiful garden with a beautiful view. The peace and quiet was wonderful. The house is fully equipped and offers a good base for cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Livorno. The beach is also about a 20 minute drive away. We had a nice holiday!

Very secluded. Cute little place nearby. Large supermarket rather further away. Very friendly landlord. house was nice. pool was great. Unfortunately, the bathrooms smelled very strongly. But the landlord tried very hard. WLAN rather bad than good. Distance from the sea was ok. Pisa and Livorno about 45 minutes by car. Pizzerias from 7 p.m. some available in the area. The place Rosignano Marittimo is highly recommended.

Lovely holiday home in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Completely private for your own use. Nice with kids, pool was well maintained by homeowner. Good place to further explore Tuscany, Pisa, Lucca, Livorno and Volterra are within a good distance. In the village you can get delicious sandwiches in the morning, large supermarket about 20 minutes. Contact with the homeowner G. was very pleasant, but completely in Italian, so a few words helps enormously.

Bathrooms on the 1st floor smelled strongly, windows had to remain open, otherwise the smell was unbearable. The 2nd kitchen with pizza oven, contrary to the description, is no longer furnished/usable. At night dogs barked continuously in the village, we couldn't get any sleep. Internet ONLY received in the kitchen Prices for additional services deviate from those indicated by the interhome Pool service perfect!

We rate this accommodation as good, found the house very clean. The pool was very well maintained. Pool attendant came by twice. The roads to the sea were very narrow and winding, but you have to put up with that if you want to be a bit off the beaten track. We had a lot of mosquitoes, there weren't any through the fly screens in the house. For outdoors we used coils that evaporated. What we didn't like: Booked for 6 people. We used 2 double rooms and 2 single rooms. We had to pay for a single room.

We were a total of 11 people in the accommodation, including 2 babies. The accommodation is furnished in Tuscan style, the rooms and showers are fine and thanks to the 3 bathrooms there can always be enough people showering etc. Cutlery, plates etc were available in sufficient numbers, but the stove in the kitchen is relatively weak. The journey is a bit steep but doable. We were not so enthusiastic about the landlords, they were very reserved compared to everyone else and also not informed that we are 11 people and have doubted this for inexplicable reasons. So at the beginning a room had to be prepared and at the end we were asked if there were 12 of us. The internet should also suddenly cost €15 per week, although it didn't work for the first 3 days and we weren't asked if we wanted to use it. In the end we were only charged €10. Gas cost us 85€. It's a good idea to calculate that carefully!!The immediate neighbor...is very friendly and also sells local wine and oil at a good price. Otherwise the house is suitable for larger groups.
