In many ways, this is the quintessential Tuscan villa. Formerly a farmhouse belonging to a member of the Borghese family, it sits within a large garden filled with ancient olive trees, herbs and aromatic flowers. From the elevated position, there's a gorgeous view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and local hillsides. In addition to this stunning setting, there's a private swimming pool out in this space, as well as a wisteria-covered pergola complete with an alfresco dining area and a lounge underneath. Heading In through the arched doorways, the interior lives up to the high expectations set by the exterior. A tasteful selection of antique furnishings — like the marble fireplace in the living room — sit next to artworks hanging on the walls and some more contemporary fittings. And to top it all off, there's such a wide range of distractions to be found in the local Monte Argentario peninsula, from the long Fenigila Beach ten minutes' drive away and the collection of historic forts to the isolated island of Giglio that can be reached via a hired motorboat.

About Monte Argentario
Tethered to the mainland by two cables of sand, Monte Argentario is an untamed semi-island in Southern Tuscany's Maremma region.
