Set within an ancient hamlet and surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany, this farmhouse-style villa is a slice of la dolce vita indeed. The main villa is a vision of Tuscan charm with old hearths and a huge kitchen fit for rustic feasts. Myriad lounges and living rooms allow the group to spread out. Outside, a state-of-the-art barbecue is accompanied by a stone prep area and though there are many spots to dine outside, our favourite is poolside where curtains billow. And what a pool it is – the infinity edge overlooking the Tuscan countryside. Exploring the area, San Miniato is 10km away and day trips to Lucca and Pisa are on the cards, both 48km away.

Home truths:
*All of the bedrooms are set as doubles by default, but can all be converted into twin rooms on request.
*One of the bedrooms is in a separate guest house which is closed off when there are less than 16 people staying.
*For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
*The swimming pool is only available for use between 1st May and 30th September.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*In a remote location, having a car is recommended and there is plenty of private parking.
