Upper floor: 1 room with 1 bed (80 cm), 1 double bed. 2 terraces. Terrace furniture, barbecue, deck chairs. Very beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the valley. Facilities: children's high chair, baby cot for up to 2 year olds. Internet (WiFi, extra). Please note: non-smokers only. Bed layout is flexible. 530 m a.s.l. >>Important, historical, quiet resort with 11'200 inhabitants, in the western part of the region 40 km from the sea, on top of a hill, south facing position with beautiful view, 48 km north-west from Siena, 65 km south-east from Pisa, 75 km south-west from Firenze. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Situated in an elevated panoramic position over the hilly Valle di Cecina countryside, Volterra has a marvellous Old Town with evidence from several bygone eras. It was one of the Etruscan capitals, even retaining part of the old wall. The Guarnacci museum has one of the best collections of Etruscan artwork. Volterra is also well-known for the processing of alabaster.
