The location of Poggio al Pruno on the top of the hill of the same name is absolutely fantastic and you can see Elba, Corsica and much of the Ligurian coast from there. The house is located at an altitude of 600 m, so it is always cooler there than down below. The villa is spacious and well equipped. The nearby village of La Sassa is very quiet, but there is a small shop and two churches. The road from the village to the house is in some places quite bad.

We were very happy with our stay, everything was perfect and I can't say anything particularly negative. One thing that was a bit of a hassle, however, was the journey there. La Sassa (the nearest village) is easy to reach, but from there you have to drive up a somewhat steep gravel road to the apartment. This road has been improved since our stay, but for safety and peace of mind I would recommend an SUV for the journey.

T. was a fantastic host and the house was super nice and fresh. The pool was perfect and cooled off nicely. The only negative was the last way up which was rocky and steep. And that it was quite far to the nearest store.
