Just five minutes drive from Montaione, it enjoys an enviable location with Pisa, Siena, Florence and Lucca each not much more than an hour's drive away. Built of brick and stone, its period charm graces both the facade, with its impressive archways, and the interior (think vaulted brick ceilings, whitewashed wooden beams, tiled floors and window shutters). It's a traditional place, so it's no surprise to find antique furniture, but there are quirky touches too like the mid-century dining chairs and the 1970s leather sofas.
