When we came across this quaint apartment, we did a double-take. While it may be a bit old-school in style, it has lots of charm and comfort for a city stay. Set on the third floor, with a private balcony overlooking the rooftops of Florence and a courtyard that oozes Italian appeal, there's no lack of character here. Located in the historic district, you'll have lots of sights to see within walking distance, too. All in all, for a cosy stay with friends or family, this one ticks a lot of boxes.

Home truths:
*The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
*The single and double bedrooms are on the mezzanine level and semi-open to the space below, so privacy is limited.
*Although the fireplace makes a great decorative feature, it's currently not in use.
*At full occupancy, one guest will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.
*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb three flights of stairs to reach the entrance of the home.
