Piazzale Michelangelo, a sixteen-minute stroll away, is situated on a hill on the south bank of the Arno River – it has stunning vistas of the city and a bronze replica of Michelangelo's David. Accademia Gallery, which displays the actual statue, as well as Botticelli's Madonna and Child, is a twenty-minute saunter, while the Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti are both under a thirty-minute walk.
