You can arrive in style at this palatial farmhouse fringing the hilltop commune of Castellina (2.7km) - there's a private helipad should you need it. Set within easy driving distance of Siena, San Gimignano and Florence for day trips, and with the bustling restaurants of Castellina close by, it’s an excellent base to explore Tuscany. There are plenty of reasons to linger at home, too – starting with those monumental views from the wraparound loggia for alfresco dining. Kids will love you for the private pool, gently sloping lawns for a runabout and table tennis. Meanwhile, adults can factor in some downtime in the private sauna.

The lower and upper floors both have a kitchen with a dining area.
The approach to the house is on an unpaved, uneven lane and a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. There is ample private parking outside. It’s worth noting that an electric fence in the wider grounds prevents intrusions from wild animals.
The swimming pool is for seasonal use from May to October, weather permitting. It’s unfenced, so if you’re bringing little ones, they’ll need to be supervised at all times. Pool towels are provided.
A cot and high chair are available, at no extra cost.
There are stairs inside the home and steps to access the pool area, which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility.
