Found in southeastern Sicily, this two-storey retreat has a serene outdoor area that's perfect for summertime fun. The alfresco dining space is just asking to host a series of barbeques, and we were fond of the pool, too – bordered by plants, it's a perfect spot for sunbathing. Inside the home, we didn't find much that stood out to us in the home's minimal design, but having a separate living area upstairs is a nice touch – it'll sure to be popular with a young couple seeking privacy or teenagers looking for somewhere to escape the adults. You'll want a car here, with the nearest beach 5km and the supermarket 10 km away.

*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*This home was purpose-built for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space.
*There are two downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms here, while the upstairs is accessed via an external staircase.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
