Tiles and exposed brickwork abound in this welcoming Palermo home. The colourful kitchen is a crowd-pleaser, and the wooden ceiling above one of the bedrooms lends the space an authentic Sicilian vibe. We did find the other bedroom to be a bit compact, while the living room's furniture might be a little dated for some – but the large dining table, high ceiling, and abundant sunlight make up for that. You're well-placed for city exploration, too – nearby, you'll find Palermo Cathedral, the Praetorian Fountain and the Massimo Theatre.
Home truths: *The beds are quite low here, meaning the home might not be suitable for those with limited mobility
*Parking in Palermo can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible – though we think the best way to see the city is on foot
*There's a desk here if you need to get any work done
