Set just a stone’s throw from Guidaloca Beach, it’s the location of this Sicilian apartment that first caught our eye. Days are all about sea swims and relaxing back at the apartment’s shady terrace. A great practical choice for a family holiday, while the pared-back interiors aren’t anything to write home about, it’s all well cared for, and the shared gardens are a bonus. You’ll need a car when you’re ready to explore. Take your pick from the pretty village of Scopello (4km away), or in the other direction, the larger medieval town of Castellammare del Golfo – it’s all just a short drive away.
