Dive into a pool with Umbrian hills rolling out in every direction and you'll understand immediately what makes this villa special. The covered stone terrace is made for long Italian evenings – eat alfresco, settle onto the sofa, and let the landscape do the rest. Inside, the living room opens directly to the fenced garden, making the boundary between indoors and out almost irrelevant. Medieval villages and the Marche Apennines are within easy reach when you're ready to explore, but with a private garden this peaceful, leaving feels entirely optional.

Home truths:
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. Make sure to request these in advance of your arrival.
* One bedroom with an en-suite shower sits on the ground floor, while the remaining three bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the upper floor. If anyone in your group has difficulty with stairs, it's worth requesting the ground-floor room early.
* The swimming pool is only available for use between 16th May and 5th September.
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's free parking for up to four cars on the driveway.
