The design is reminiscent of the artisanal workshops that proliferated in Milan in the early 20th century, so there’s a real sense of place - it feels Milanese. It has a very open layout, which adds to the atmosphere but could also be off-putting - sound in particular carries throughout the entire house so light sleepers might have some problems.
