The first thing you'll notice about this Milan pad is the enormous windows in the living area. We loved how they filled the room with light, and the views aren't bad either – you're overlooking the leafy Piazza Santa Maria Beltrade, right in the heart of Milan. Clean lines, cream tones and contemporary stylings give this flat a very relaxing atmosphere. We found it to be an excellent respite after a busy day wandering Milan, and the bedrooms were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is a little basic – it lacks a proper oven and the fridge is small – but with delicious restaurants right on your doorstep, we doubt you'll get up to much cooking. But the location is the best part of all. It's a quick five-minute walk to the Duomo and six on foot from the boutiques in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. You're so central, it's incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city either by foot or by public transport – so easy, in fact, that you won't even need a car.

Home truths

Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room, but this will be at the expense of privacy

A cot and high chair can be provided on request

Although there's a lift most of the way, there's still a small flight of stairs to navigate

The fridge is very small given the potential number of guests, and there's no oven here, just a built-in microwave – we think the kitchen is better for light bites

    Neither bathroom has any windows

Given the central location, noise is to be expected

When the door is closed, the wi-fi doesn’t really reach the third bedroom

About Missori

Missori is a beautiful neighbourhood in the heart of the historical centre, just South of the Duomo. A lot of businesses are located here, but this is no ordinary corporate area - think gorgeous, historic buildings and super chic workers. Missori is extremely well-located for either a tourist or business trip - it's just a short walk to the picturesque streets of Cinque Vie as well as the Duomo. Lots...

Host

This home is managed by Laura

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Laura used to work for Italian MTV, but these days she and a couple of friends look after several apartments in the city – all right in the centre. With such a professional approach, you might think that she’d come across as a bit managerial, but in fact, the opposite is true – there’s a real personal touch to the whole operation.
