Positioned close to the centre of the lakeside town of Cernobbio, this light and spacious apartment keeps good company, a stone's throw from some of Lake Como's most illustrious villas. The open-plan interior is chic and contemporary, which will appeal to lovers of an uncluttered, minimalist aesthetic. Head through to the two bedrooms and you'll discover that they follow a similar ethos, with gold accents adding a touch of glamour to proceedings. Step outside and discover Villa Bernasconi just steps away – one of the best examples of Art Nouveau architecture in the whole of Italy. Walk towards the lake and you'll encounter Villa Erba, which is used to host some of the most exclusive events in the world, as well as making cameos in the occasional Hollywood movie. For the outdoorsy types, Cernobbio is the jumping-off point for many picturesque mountain hikes including the eighty-eight mile Via dei Monti Lariani, though you're more than welcome just to do a small section.
