If you’re wanting a unique place to stay in Rome, then look no further. This treasure chest of a home, with its 19th-century stuccoes, antiques, and gold leaf accents, is certainly one-of-a-kind. You won’t find a TV here, but we think the theatre and speakeasy room downstairs, complete with a gilded bar, will provide all the entertainment you need. The tiny kitchenette is better suited to keeping your Prosecco chilled than preparing a meal, so you’ve got the perfect excuse to eat out at one of the many restaurants on the doorstep. And for discovering the capital, Rome’s must-see, the Colosseum, is just a twenty-minute walk away.
Home truths: *There isn’t a TV here.
*The kitchenette is very small and doesn’t have an oven – though there is a hob. We think it’s better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*You'll find lots of antiques in this home, so it might not be the best choice if you're travelling with young children.
*There are steps leading up to the front door here.
*Your host is happy to help with ticket booking and restaurant reservations, free of charge.
*Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
*Parking in Rome can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.
