Its all-wood ceilings and Persian-style rugs add a touch of cosiness, while the open-concept, uncluttered living space feels contemporary and bright. Before you take the fifteen-minute drive into Udine, amble the four-minute walk to the little piazza for a silky cappuccino and a scoop of vegan gelato from the gelateria—some of the best we’ve ever tried. Once in Udine, art galleries, museums and Friulian cuisine await. Come home in the early evening, replete and relaxed.
