Perched on a hillside overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, surrounded by fragrant lemon trees and terraced vineyards, this historic villa awaits. Boating a fascinating past, the building was originally an 18th-century watch tower, then later became a chapel before being converted to the luxurious home it is today. Many of the original features have been preserved, so you can expect frescoed ceilings and traditional ceramic floor tiles, paired with antique furniture and the pastel hues you'd see along the cobbled town streets. Outside, you'll find a private oasis. Start your days with breakfast on the terrace, while gazing out across the dramatic coastline. You'll find a mini gym in the garden, offering spectacular views that are bound to provide some motivation if you're not feeling up to a workout. When you're ready to explore, descend the steps to the beach, where you can lie on the sand and swim in the azure water. There's also a pizzeria close by which makes for the perfect lunch spot. Speaking of food, Amalfi certainly doesn't disappoint on the culinary front, either. Head into town to pick up some fresh ingredients then get creative in the outdoor kitchen. Tuck in alfresco on the patio as the boats sail across the ocean in the distance. After dinner, pour a drink and relax in the Jacuzzi, which is sea-facing for spectacular sunset views as day turns to night.

About Amalfi Coast
Overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast has always attracted a certain echelon of well-heeled holidaymaker. From the eighteenth century onwards, many of the picturesque towns — Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi itself — were essential stop-offs for those lucky enough to embark on a Grand Tour, as well as later being favoured for a creative escapade by artistic types such as Byron, Ibsen and Steinbeck. It’s really not difficult...
