Top-notch restaurants, independent shops and small stony beaches are all within walking distance – just be sure to pack comfortable shoes, as this area is known for its steep hills and steps. But it's not just the location that we love – the views from the terrace are a knockout, and there’s a private pool for splashing about when it’s hot out. If you’d like to flex your culinary skills, source fresh ingredients from the on-site vegetable patch. Or why not put your feet up and let your host arrange for a private chef to take care of the cooking?

Home truths:
*A large garden with vegetables, fruit and a chicken coop is part of the property and is accessible on request.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Bed linen and bath and pool towels are changed every Saturday and Wednesday. A housekeeping service attends three hours per day, six days per week.
*Just so you know, the utility room is accessed via the terrace.
