Holiday Rental Description

A ten-minute or so drive from the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, this home is surely something special. It's situated on a hilltop in the countryside overlooking Specchia town. Acres and acres of garden are a natural playground – we love the help-yourself veg patch and pomegranate trees. Outdoor lounges, dining areas nestled among the olive groves, and hammocks strung between trees offer shady spots to relax. And, of course, there’s an inviting private pool to cool off – just what's needed on sunny afternoons. Bedrooms are traditional in style, the kitchen is rustic, and the main living room is centred around a working hearth. It's not ultra-modern, but it's packed with character and would suit those after a quintessential Puglian adventure.

Home truths:
*The sixth bedroom is a self-contained studio with a sofa bed sleeping two at capacity.
*The swimming pool is only available for use between May and September. It isn't fenced – if you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones. Just request them in advance.
*The bus stops on the map only serve school buses, so having a car is essential. There is plenty of private parking at this home.
*Please note that tap water is not drinkable here, so you'll have to stock up on bottled water.
*Smoking is only permitted outdoors, not in the villa.
