Brimming with traditional character, this charming Trullo-style home is steeped in history. Built over 200 years ago, every room is decorated in keeping with its classic Trulli roots, from the dry-stone walls and timber-beamed ceilings to the arched doorways and conical roof. It feels like a step back in time, though the kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely modernised. While we love the historic details, our favourite part has to be the garden. Ranging over 14,000 square meters, you'll find green olive groves, lush orchards and even a mini-playground. With the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the trees, it's a true respite from everyday life. Grab a glass of wine and settle down at one of the verandas, spend summer days cooling off in the pool and enjoy alfresco meals under the setting sun. For a change of scenery, explore the small towns in the Valle dei Trulli. Alberobello – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is just a fifteen-minute drive away, while the caverns at Grotte di Castellana are also worth a day trip.
