There are some homes that have so much riding in their favour that it almost begins to feel a little unfair. This villa close to the southernmost tip of Puglia is among this number. Guests staying here have a wealth of ways to pass their time. When the sun makes one of its all-too-regular appearances, the swimming pool will be the obvious place to head, but there's also a tennis court and lots of terraces on which to do nothing more strenuous than relax, including one up on the rooftop that overlooks the sea. It's a similar story behind the villa's white walls. Head down to the basement and you'll discover a well-equipped gym, plus a games room just next door. Back upstairs, the piano and fireplace in the living room make it a lovely spot in which to retire in the evening time, plus there's a rather inviting corner Jacuzzi bathtub upstairs if you ever need to escape the party for a bit of me-time. As a quick glance at the map will tell you, the sea isn't too far away – just five hundred metres away at the closest point and there's a great choice of beaches nearby. The pretty port town of Santa Maria di Leuca is only 2km away as well, with plenty of attractions and restaurants to make it well worth a visit.

• Your host can arrange a later check-in time between 8pm and midnight or an earlier check-out time between 6am and 7.30am, each for an additional fee of €50

• Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you for an additional €150 per stay

• The swimming pool is only available for free between 1st May and 31st October and outside of these dates, it will cost an extra fee of €500 to use
