Holiday home
Josie's House is a spacious holiday home a few miles from Fethard-on-Sea, County Wexford. The property has three bedrooms on the ground floor; a double with en-suite shower room, a single and a twin with sea views. There is also a large double room with en-suite shower room on the first floor. The family bathroom is downstairs, along with a kitchen with dining area and sofa, and a sitting room with open fire. On the first floor landing is a games area with pool table and seating. Outside there is ample off road parking and large gardens to the front and side with sea views and garden furniture. Josie's House is perfect for exploring the Hook Peninsula, heading to Wexford or Waterford, or visiting the JFK Arboretum or Dunbrody Famine Ship.

Four bedrooms: 1 x double with sea views and en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor twin with sea views, 1 x ground floor single. Ground floor bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area (seats 6) and comfy seating. Utility. Sitting room (seats 5) with open fire. First floor games area with pool table and comfy seating.

Area
Fethard-on-Sea is a village to the east of the Hook Peninsula, in County Wexford. A quiet fishing and holiday village, Fethard makes a great base to enjoy the harbour, sandy beaches, shops and pubs. The Hook Peninsula attracts visitors to its beaches and activities including walking, golf and horse riding. Head up to New Ross and visit the JFK Arboretum or the Dunbrody Famine Ship, or travel over to Waterford in the west or Wexford in the east to take in all they have to offer.

Had a brilliant week in Josie's House.. House is beautiful , loads of space. The views are breathtaking. Close to lots of tourist attractions . Shop and pub within walking distance. ( Approx 2 km each way). Josie so helpful with a few queries we had. Privacy and space respected. Josie also posted us an item we had left behind. Would definitely recommend it. A little piece of heaven on a fine day. We hopefully will be back.

This was our second visit, house has not really changed in 4 years! The road leading to the house really needs sorting, very bad. Majority of Windows have blinds but really need on rest, especially in the en-suite downstairs. Overall it's a great place to stay, loads of room and Josie & her sister very welcoming & helpful.

Josie was extremely friendly and helpful.. Please take note: the photos do not do the house or the breathtaking view justice; both outstanding. This is a brilliant location that allows access by car to amazing beaches: Duncannon (10mins), Dollar bay (5 mins, no facilities), Booley bay (5 mins, no facilities), Currlacoe (50 mins - AMAZING). Good for the following: Tintern Abbey/gardens/forest walk (15 mins), Hook lighthouse (spectacular views 10mins), Kilkenny(1 hour), Wexford and Waterford (50 mins). Local pub serves great food and drink and is a 10 min walk via a bendy road- be careful. House quite noisy in the wind at night so bring ear plugs of particularly sensitive, especially upstairs. Overall an amazing holiday and house, book now!

We stayed at Josie,s for a week.. What a lovely house very spacious and comfortable with everything you need at hand, the grounds and views are spectacular with open views over the ocean. A little bit isolated but a shop and pub near by. With a lovely drive on beAch a couple of miles away,there is also a small town 3 miles away with local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend Josie,s house loved staying there and Josie is very helpful and friendly.

The house is even more spacious than the pictures.. The sea view over 180 degrees and you can see all of the Hook peninsula down to the lighthouse. Josie was lovely to deal with.

Josie's House is situated on the most incredible site with fabulous views of the hook Head peninsula. The view stretches from the lighthouse to Duncannon and across the channel to Dunmore East in Waterford. There are 3 houses together but even though the sites are open plan the other houses do not impinge on your holiday experience. The accommodation is very spacious, modern and comfortable. The upstairs of the house has a games room and seating for teens on a rainy day! We had great weather so we didn't use it. The kitchen is small relative to the other rooms in the house but it is still large enough to cater to the amount of people. The house would really benefit from an outside seating/eating/barbeque area. The views are so spectacular it was a real shame not to have an outdoor space to sit and drink them in. We had our dog with us and it was a perfect space for a pet. All of the floors are tiled or wooden so it was very easy to keep clean. There were no outdoor bins provided to store the rubbish. We felt this should have been included. We recycled our glass in Wellingtonbridge. There was also no shower curtain in the downstairs ensuite which was not a wet room so it had to be mopped up every time it was used. The Templar's Inn was walking distance from the house. You have to have a car though to get everywhere. The roadway up to the house is in a terrible state but driveable once you take it very slowly. Dollar Bay which is probably Ireland's nicest beach is very close by but you wouldn't really walk to it as the roads are narrow and dangerous for pedestrians. We loved our stay in Josie's house and would recommend it highly.

This house really met all of our expectations. Perfect location with lovely ocean views while having breakfast. Lot's of space even for big families like us (2 adulds and 4 kids). Beautiful beaches very close. Very kind and helpful landlord. Reasonable price.

We had a lovely week at this house, the location was out of this world, and the owner of the house was very welcoming. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wanted a lovely base to spend there holiday.

This property is in the most amazing location with views that are quite breath taking. The house is unbelievably spacious. The upstairs master bedroom has a huge bathroom and power shower. The views out of every room in the property are stunning.

I stayed at Josie's House with my extended family and our two dogs. The house was in a lovely location with fantastic views but nice and private. The location is good for easy access to Waterford, Wexford and many other local attractions. The house itself is clean, modern and in a peaceful location away from road. The added attraction was that our dogs were allowed in the house.(even when we were out!) The owner was very welcoming but also left us to it for the duration of our stay. Lovely holiday in a lovely location.
