This cottage was as advertised, a charming, comfortable, though rustic guest house with a gorgeous view of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. Located directly next to the owners house, it meets all of your basic needs, with some added country Irish charm. Though the accommodations may be humble, the service and friendliness of the family running Kilsallagh Lower exceeded every expectation. Upon our arrival we were taught how to start a peat fire in the fireplace, and given an unlimited supply of fuel, giving us an unexpected opportunity to experience this old Irish tradition. We were made to feel very much at home, and given good advice on local attractions and amenities. We had a very positive experience staying there and would definitely stay there again if we ever have the opportunity.

The accommodation represented good value for money and was perfectly adequate for 2 persons. Although there were beds for 4 the kitchen/lounge would not easily accommodate that number.
