This was one of the nicest places you could wish for,the location was perfect peaceful yet
reasonably close to all amenities.. The owner Margaret was really helpful as we were there
during Christmas she had loads of little seasonal touches which gave that homely feeling.
Overall a really enjoyable holiday that passed too quickly

Rambler's Rest is an excellent and comfortable get-away-from-it-all cottage, with sheep and the Leitrim hills as your only neighbours, perfectly located for the counties of Sligo, Leitrim, Fermanagh, (west) Cavan, (north) Roscommon and (south) Donegal.. We liked it so much in 2017 we've been back in 2018 and hope to visit again next year too.

Absolute rural peace and serenity, and a fantastic base for the varied attractions of Leitrim, Donegal, Sligo, northern Roscommon, Cavan and Fermanagh.. Our holiday was spoiled only by the hundreds of unwanted e-mails received from Sykes Cottages after making the booking last summer.

Enjoyed our stay, cottage very comfortable and found it very relaxing.. While position of cottage was quiet and tranquil it was situated only a mile of main road which made it convenient to go sightseeing. Margaret was very welcoming.

Issues booking the cottage online but when I phoned to book, your customer service lady on the phone could not have been more friendly and more helpful.. Cottage was great and the owner very friendly and helped us find out way to the cottage. Left a home made batch of weaten bread which was unbelievably tasty. Location was great, isolated like we were looking for. Overall a brilliant stay and I would book and stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rambler's Rest. It was the perfect base to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in peace and quiet, away from everyone who thought we should have a massive
party etc. It is a lovely part of the country. Just like the Ireland we remember 50 years ago. I loved the way trees are let grow naturally, not trimmed to with-in an inch of their lives. Completely au-naturelle. The lady who owned the house was lovely. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and that goes for our wee dog Cody. It made such a difference been able to take him with us. Will definitely book again. Real value for money. Thank you.
