The open plan kitchen-dining-living room is a bright and open space which opens up to give full access to the incredible views that make this house.
Decorated in a calming grey-blue, with minimalist styling, the modern kitchen is fully-equipped with oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. A stylish dining table in contemporary wood seats six, with French doors opening out from the kitchen area to a patio at the side of the house, perfect for barbecue season.
The comfortable couch is perfectly positioned in front of the picture window looking out over Brandon Bay and the rolling hills in the distance. A further part of the living area sees comfortable chairs and a footstool positioned towards the large screen television. Another set of French doors open out to the front of the house from here.
Entering through the front gate is a large gravel parking area, bounded by traditional stone walls, with room for several cars. A walkway around the perimeter of the house allows guest to enjoy the view from every angle. A patio, with doors from the kitchen provides a setting for a memorable barbecue or day spent lounging and soaking up the inspiring views, from the stone walls across the fields and magnificent bay.
Two bright and minimal contemporary double bedrooms to the front of the house provide the perfect restful atmosphere.
The minimalist style of the front bedroom lets the spectacular view take over - an incredible sight to wake up to from the super comfortable double bed. The furnishings are completed with drawers and a clothes rail, The en suite bathroom continues the cool clean style with a rain shower.
The second front bedroom is a similar oasis of calm, with view out across the islands in the bay, contemporary art prints, drawers, clothes rail and mirror. The large tiled en suite bathroom has a full bath with shower head.
To the back of the house is a twin room, with comfortable twin beds and hillside views.
Along with the two en suite bathrooms there is a guest WC accessed from the entrance foyer, and another bathroom with WC and rain head shower beside the utility and back bedrooms.
Accessed from the entrance foyer, a utility room space houses lots of extra storage, a washer, dryer, and another sink.
Mount Brandon dominates the villages of Cloghane and Brandon, a welcoming community with a rich heritage of music, language, and dance. There are numerous walks to lakes, waterfalls, creeks, beaches, cliff walks and of course the unforgettable walk/climb up Mount Brandon. The beaches are so varied from the secret beach ‘Tra Bhan’ to Brandon Bay, the longest beach in Ireland which starts in Cloghane and runs for 13km to Castlegregory and the Maharees Peninsula
Cloghane has two great bar/ restaurants serving pub food. Brandon is centred around the activities of the Pier, swimming, fishing, drinking, eating, dolphin spotting, socialising. It’s a very special place and in the summer months full of activity with kids and sometimes adults jumping off the Pier, hiring boats, rowing curragh’s (traditional Irish boats made of heavy canvas and tar).
Fishing in the area is superb. The Owenmore River flows from its source in Mullach, down through the valley to the estuary of Cloghane and into Brandon Bay. The river is bursting with salmon and sea trout. The estuary, reached from Cappagh beach and Drom on the opposite side along with Fermoyle Beach are perfect for shore anglers looking for sea bass. There is nowhere as social to fish tho
