"Great place, lovely owner"

"This was our second visit to Tar Ar Ais, it is perfectly situated in a quiet, peaceful location yet a short drive into Dungloe."
The cottage is very comfortable with everything you could need.It was interesting to read about and see photos of the restoration process. We spent our days dog walking on various beaches , all within a 30 minute drive. The scenery is stunning and we were lucky to enjoy it in warm dry weather. All in all we had a relaxing time and hope to return to Tar Ar Ais soon.

"I absolutely loved the cottage had all the features of a 300 year old building but had all the modern conveniences."
I found the location ideal. Only 10 mins from Dungloe which had everything we needed. Only downside there were roadworks on the N56 which was a bit of a pain but that was nobody fault and would only be temporary. Beautiful outdoor facilities also. Loved every thing about it and would highly recommend for a family holiday.

"This is a lovely cottage with a big garden and in beautiful surroundings."
The open fire made for very cozy evenings on cooler days and when the sun was out we were sitting outside overlooking the sea. Gorgeous! Within a close driving distance are the most spectacular beaches for walks and swims and there are several other things to do apart from that too.

"This cottage was beautiful, and every bit as nice as it looked on the website."
It was immaculate and had been perfectly prepared by the house keeper Eileen. It was a priviledge to have been allowed to stay here.

"As I wrote on the other cottage, couldn't have been happier, we rented both cottages for the week, the houses are beautifully restored, the location is fantastic, don't miss a ride on the back road outside the house up to Crohy Head and Maghery beach, although road is a little narrow, even for Donegal, the views were spectacular."
Hope to go back again for another family reunion, from 18 to 65, all had a wonderful stay!

"Really beautiful cottage, very well maintained with attention to detail."
Lovely furnishings, more like a real home than just a place to stay. Would go back.
-
"The local Mary from Dungloe festival was in progress during my stay and the cottage was a very convenient location for attending events."
The setting was extremely peaceful and relaxing.

"THE LOCATION AND THE COTTAGE WERE AMAZING."
TOOK US BACK TO DAYS GONE BY. A SERIOUS MUST FOR THOSE SEEKING TRANQUILITY AND A BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
-
"This is a beautifully restored old cottage."
Very comfortable with all mod cons yet keeping it's charm and character. If you are looking for a holiday filled with sandy beaches, scenic walks and central location with comfort to return to at the end of your day then I highly recommend Tar Ar Ais. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return.

"Directions from Glenties are vital as most visitors are coming from that direction."
No point in mentioning Sweeneys Hardware as this is not visible in the dark.
