We loved this tastefully decorated cottage.. Was more spacious then the photos showed. In a very pretty setting, on a lane surrounded by fields with wildflowers and a short walk to a lovely beach.

Ramharc na nOilean was a fantastic property with all the mod cons and an amazing location within walking distance of beautiful Carrickfinn Beach.. Eilis and her family welcomed us and gave us advice and help whenever we needed it - particularly when their daughter N. babysat our dog so we could go on a guided kayaking trip to Owey Island. The property has everything a family needs, from fuel for the stove to a washer/dryer and 3 comfortable bedrooms. Eilis saw to it on our first day that the clothesline was repaired and promised to fix the dishwasher door that jams. Notable daytrips from the property: kayaking with Selkie Sailing, fishing trip with Paul with Saoire Mara Charters, hiking to Loch Inshagh in the Glenveagh National Park, amazing sunsets from the headland at Cruit Island Golf Club, Carrickfinn Beach and my favorite - Mullaghderg Beach. This is a great location for a family getaway - you will not be disappointed!

It would have been good to say goodbye to the owners, say how much we enjoyed our stay and point out a couple of things they might like to add, shortage of cutlery etc.. Overall a lovely experience. JW

This property is tired although a nice property in a good location leaves much to be desired internally. The front door jams and is difficult to open and remove key. Central heating radiators some have broken thermostats therefore difficulty to switch off. No instruction books for equipment. The en-suite shower unit dangerous difficult to adjust. Kitchen cutlery sparse. Many other items not up to standard. Would have difficulty giving the property two stars.

The Visiting House is an absolute gem.. A stunning property in a lovely rural location, extremely comfortable, every possible need catered for. The interior is beautiful with great attention to detail and gorgeous touches. The garden and terrace is private and peaceful, great to enjoy morning coffee or late drinks. The plunge pool and hot tub were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed using them every day. Highly recommend the place and the hosts, we hope to return before too long!

We really loved the cottage! Super clean and cosy, the location was amazing. It would have been handy to have a little note to explain about the property heating/ warm water, etc. Alittle history about the property would have been good to know as it was beautiful inside. Overall we had a really really good holiday.

Realy nice and cosy house.. Very quite area even Donegal Airport is about 500m away (on weekdays 3 planes comin in/getting out) we recognize them once! So nothing to talk about. Carrick Finn Beach is down the road and a nice place to walk and relax but aware the tides!! We loved it to sit in the Dining room, sipping a coffee, playing cards and listen to the radio. Perfect if you're looking for a place to calm down. We absolutely would rent it again! Thanx a lot!!

The cottage has been painted and the green windows are now teal.. The cottage next door has green windows though!! Superb local beach, excellent wildlife, pub within walking distance, friendly locals/neighbours, better than Cornwall (by a very very long way) in all ways.

Really liked the cottage and found it very warm and cosy. It has an usual and quirky style. The beach is only 10 minutes from the cottage and is a beautiful one. Early morning walks on the beach with the dog were brilliant. It is a quieter part of Donegal but really lovely and perfect to get away from the stresses of modern life.

I loved the utter peacefulness, the mountain views and the sea, the ease of getting around, and the close but unobtrusiveness of the owner and other neighbours. Hopefully planning to return in late September.

The location was beautiful and the cottage was very quirky and overall stunning. The beach was by far the most beautiful beach I have ever seen and sitting by the fire listening to the wind outside after a long walk with the dog along the beach was simply wonderful.

The friendliness of the owner when we arrived was very welcoming, the cottage was a dream and the beaches were to die for and on the doorstep was three beaches. I would recommend this cottage to anyone and will be going back as soon as we can. Thank you!
