The property

This modern duplex apartment, settled beside the beach, on the edge of Buncrana, County Donegal, offers breathtaking sea views across Lough Swilly and the Fanad Peninsula.

Set over the third and fourth floors, this is an ideal destination for couples seeking a romantic Donegal break, or for families wishing to stay beside the sea.

As you step inside, you'll find a contemporary fitted kitchen with dining area and a door to the balcony, from where you can watch the changing views of the sea as the sun sets across the bay over the Fanad Mountains.

The spacious sitting room exudes style and has been tastefully decorated by the owner to offer comfort and quality during your stay.

There are two bright bedrooms on the fourth floor where you’ll be sure to enjoy one of the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had!

The sandy beach lies literally beneath the apartment, so why not take a stroll, bright and early before breakfast, and watch as the fishermen land their daily catch on the pier? There is also a spectacular shoreside walk, starting at the apartment and stretching for three to four miles depending on the tides, plus the changing skyscape on The Lake of Shadows (the nickname for the bay of Lough Swilly) is a treat for the photographer.

The thriving town is vibrant and bursting with Donegal charm, with a wonderful selection of shops, pubs and cafes, as well as restaurants offering delicious local cuisine.

Buncrana also boasts a playground, golf club, leisure centre and superb coastal walks, making it an ideal spot for all ages.

The peninsula of Inishowen is home to charming seaside towns and villages such as Greencastle, Ballyliffin and Fahan, and is cradled by sweeping sandy beaches.

Watersports such as kayaking, diving and deep sea fishing are also popular choices in this serene area of Northwest Ireland.

An excellent choice for your Donegal break!
