Welcome to Glebe Country House & Coach House Apartments**** a charming family run Georgian rectory, offering warm hospitality, relaxed atmosphere, and comfortable accommodation.
History
The former Rectory was built in 1690 for the sum of £250. It was repaired in 1755 and again according to church records in 1853.
Completion of the present structure was reported in 1857 at a cost of £1,160.
The Loft and Garden apartments are in the converted stone coach house. This building was originally two stables and tack room with garaging for two coaches. It was renovated in 1991 to make two apartments which are classified by Failte Ireland as four Star.
The lovingly tended gardens provide a delightful retreat for guests, fresh produce for the dinner table and views over the church and steeple in Ballinadee village to the woods and hills of Ballinadee Creek and Bandon River Estuary.
Innovative Breakfasts
We provide home made brown and white soda bread, home made jams, locally produced honey and smoked bacon. Orange juice is always freshly squeezed.
We ask guests to help themselves to cereal, fruit, organic yoghurt and prunes from the sideboard.

Gardens
Our gardens are a treasure trove worth exploring. We are blessed with soil that will grow almost anything and a temperate climate helped along by the gulf stream. The sight of the Chillean Flame tree in full bloom against the Cobalt blue sky of a spring day makes the heart sing. The gardens have been designed to complement the period of the house. My own favourites are Roses and Paoenies in the borders, and Asaleas Magnolias & Rhododendrons in the shrubbery.
Our Poly-tunnel is in use all year around, and we use our own Fruit and Veg as much as possible. There is nothing quite like eating sun soaked strawberries straight from the garden.
